The DPC-2 (Directional Polarimetric Camera-2) sensor was launched in September 2021 on board GF-5(02) satellite. This dataset (BPDF-DPC-CN) is based on the DPC-2/GF-5(02) polarization data from March 2022 to February 2023.Firstly, the DPC-2/GF-5(02) L1B data were processed by removing the cloud and snow, and the satellite polarimetric data were temporally and spatially matched with the SONET (Sun-sky radiometer Observation NETwork) ground-based observation data. Secondly, the polarimetric atmospheric correction were conducted for pixels with low aerosol optical depth, and we acquired the surface polarized reflectance nearby SONET stations. Finally, we kept 10000 data with the best quality under each land cover type in China through expert decision-making.This dataset provides BPDF (Bidirectional Polarization Distribution Function), the percentage of each IGBP (International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme) type, NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), latitude and longitude, and observation geometry in China under 6 major different IGBP types (4, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16).
