This collection comprises of material pertaining to the actor Hugo Weaving, Nigerian-born English-Australian film and stage actor. Weaver started his career in Australia, his work there including Proof (1991), The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994) and The Interview (1998). His Hollywood career was launched with his well known portrayal of Agent Smith in the Matrix series of films. In addition to this, Weaving has appeared in a number of big budget sci-fi/fantasy films such as The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001-2003), V for Vendetta (2006) and Captain America: The First Avenger (2011).
