Four artifacts from the Wyalusing Bridge Replacement Site (36SQ109) in northeast
Pennsylvania were analyzed for the presence of protein residues using a modified forensics
procedure. Site 36SQ109 is a single component Lamoka site (3500-2500 B.C.). Protein residue
analysis will be used to provide faunal subsistence information, which will help answer questions
pertaining to use of the site by prehistoric groups in the Archaic period.
