Vihiga household agrobiodiversity data

The data was collected across two seasons in the plenty and lean seasons in ten randomly sampled sub-locations in Vihiga county using a semi-structured interviewer administered questionnaires. The heads of the households or their spouses were interviewed. Households with at least one child aged 6 - 23 months and a woman of the reproductive age group (15 -49 years) were randomly sampled. The ABD data was collected once per household regarding crops planted and animals mainatined on farm during the interview season as well as in the season preceeding the interview season. Similarly, data on wild foods harvested or collected in the reference season and in the preceding season was collected. In total 635 households were surveyed- 400 in the plenty and 249 in the lean season.
