资源简介:
In this study, we presents the complete mitochondrial genome of the edible-nest swiftlet (Aerodramus fuciphagus) and sequenced using the Illumina HiSeq platform. It is 16,921 bp in length and includes 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, two ribosomal RNA genes, and one non-coding control region. The base composition shows a distinct AT bias, with A and T accounting for 53.85% of the genome.Phylogenetic analysis was conducted using Bayesian inference (BI) based on the complete mitochondrial genomes of A. fuciphagus and nine closely related avian species. The results demonstrated a close evolutionary relationship between A. fuciphagus, Cypseloides fumigatus, and Chaetura pelagica. This study underscores the distinctive evolutionary position of A. fuciphagus within the Apodidae family, enriches genomic data resources, and provides valuable insights for phylogenetic studies of swifts. These findings deepen our understanding of A. fuciphagus taxonomy and evolutionary history, offering important implications for its conservation genetics and management strategies.
