Precipitation amount, M'Bour, Senegal

Precipitation amount was measured using an ARG100 tipping bucket rain gauge (Campbell® Scientific Instruments) with a resolution of 0.2 mm of rain per tip. The rain gauge was located on the roof of a building (i.e. at about 10 m above the ground level) of the geophysical station of the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) installed in a nature reserve of 50 ha, and 80 m from the seaside. Accumulation of rain on last 5 min in millimeters (mm) was recorded using a CR200 datalogger (Campbell® Scientific Instruments), but only accumulation of rain on last 1 hour is distributed in UTC (the number of values used to compute the sum is given for each time step).
