Reconstruction Dataset of Cropland Change in the Yellow River-Huangshui River Valley from the Han Dynasty to the Republic of China

The Yellow River-Huangshui River Valley is the main agricultural area of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau (35°0 '4.964 "- 37°53' 0.028" N and 100°54 '7.846 "- 103°1' 37.252" E). This dataset is developed based on historical literature and integrates the total cropland area of the Yellow River-Huangshui River Valley from the Han Dynasty to the Republic of China period, totaling six periods. The statistical data of cropland area in counties during the Republic of China period were selected as a reference to verify the research results of the same period in this dataset. The verification results showed that the deviation was within 15%. The reason for the deviation might be that the data of human activity sites currently collected deviates from the actual historical conditions. The dataset of cropland cover in the Yellow River-Huangshui River Valley includes cropland cover data from the Han Dynasty to the Republic of China period, with a size of 168 KB.
