This study aims to explore the genetic underpinnings of drought tolerance in soybean, Glycine max, by focusing on the resequencing data of SS2-2, a unique supernodulating mutant derived from the wildtype Sinpaldalkong 2 through ethylmethane sulfonate mutagenesis. SS2-2 is characterized by its drought tolerance and slow-wilting phenotype, traits that are crucial for enhancing soybean resilience under water-limited conditions. By conducting a comprehensive genomic analysis of SS2-2, we seek to identify specific genetic variations and mechanisms that confer these advantageous traits.
