This dataset is an upgraded version of the Long-Term Time-Series Snow Depth Dataset over China (1978–2012). The source data used for developing this dataset differs from that of the previous version. Since AMSR-E ceased operations in 2011, snow depth data from 2008 to 2016 were extracted using brightness temperatures from the SSMI/S sensor.
