The present invention relates to the production of renewable fuels and fuel components from vegetable oil originating from at least one species of Brassica， where said Brassica species is grown， doped with at least one nitrogen fixing bacterium， rotating alternately with At least one species of nitrogen fixing plants， vegetable oil is obtained from Brassica species and becomes renewable fuel or renewable fuel components. This also refers to a method to reduce the release of nitrate in the production of renewable fuel.
