Flemish population survey on congenital metabolic disorders

With the Population Screening of Congenital Disorders, the Flemish government has 12 diseases detected in newborn babies. And that via blood sample that is taken with a prick in the back of the hand of the baby, on the 4th day (between 72 and 96h) after birth. The diseases are rare and often have very serious consequences. But being there early can help doctors initiate treatment in a timely manner. From 1 January 2019, the Population Screening will also screen for cystic fibrosis.依托先天性疾病群体筛查（Population Screening of Congenital Disorders）项目，佛兰芒政府可对新生儿开展12种疾病的筛查检测。该筛查采用穿刺新生儿手背采集血样的方式，采样时间设定为出生后第4天（72至96小时区间内）。此类疾病多为罕见病，且往往会引发极为严重的健康后果，而早筛查可帮助医生及时启动针对性治疗。自2019年1月1日起，该群体筛查项目还将新增囊性纤维化（cystic fibrosis）的筛查内容。
