2016 Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) Mousa Maerl bed benthic core survey

Between 21st July and 6th August 2016 monitoring was undertaken by SNH and Heriot-Watt University in an area in the north-west of Mousa, within the Mousa SAC (also part of the Mousa to Boddam MPA), to improve knowledge of the occurrence and distribution of species and habitats of recognized conservation importance. A maerl bed (Priority Marine Feature) was surveyed using diver cores along a single 25m transect. Four diver core samples were collected in total for particle size analysis (PSA) and infaunal identification.2016年7月21日至8月6日，苏格兰自然遗产署（Scottish Natural Heritage, SNH）与赫瑞-瓦特大学（Heriot-Watt University）在莫萨（Mousa）西北部区域开展监测工作，该区域隶属于莫萨特别保育区（Mousa Special Area of Conservation, Mousa SAC，同时亦为莫萨至博达姆海洋保护区（Mousa to Boddam Marine Protected Area, Mousa to Boddam MPA）的组成部分），旨在深化对具有公认保护价值的物种及栖息地的出现情况与分布格局的认知。本次调查沿单条25米样带，采用潜水员钻芯法对一处钙化藻床（maerl bed，优先海洋保护特征（Priority Marine Feature））开展了勘测，共计采集4份潜水员钻芯样本，用于粒度分析（Particle Size Analysis, PSA）与底内生物鉴定。
