SciNews is a multidisciplinary English dataset containing 41,872 samples, which is intended to facilitate the automated generation of scientific news reports. This dataset is composed of academic articles and their corresponding manually written scientific news pieces, covering nine scientific fields. The development of the SciNews dataset includes data collection from the Science X platform, as well as quality control conducted through both automated and manual assessments.
