The foreshore, tidal zone or intertidal zone or tidal swing zone, is the part of the coastline between the extreme limits of the highest and lowest tides. It is a specific biotope, which can house many natural subhabitats.
As the foreshore is alternately covered by the sea and exposed to the air, it is conducive to a specific ecosystem, adapted to both sea and air conditions, capable of withstanding the effects of wave force and currents and tides, as well as the effects of dehydration and UV at low tide.

前滨、潮带、潮间带（intertidal zone）或潮汐摆动带，均指海岸线介于最高潮位与最低潮位极限边界之间的区域。其属于一类特定的生物群落生境（biotope），可承载多种自然亚生境。
由于该区域会周期性被海水淹没、交替裸露于大气中，因此孕育出适配海陆双重环境的独特生态系统：该系统可抵御波浪力、洋流与潮汐的冲击，同时能够承受退潮时的脱水效应与紫外线（UV）辐射影响。
