Mealworm Beetles (Tenebrio molitor) Detection and Segmentation Dataset

Dataset Structure The dataset is organised into three directories: images: Contains the image files in PNG (.png) format. detection_labels: Contains text files (.txt) in YOLO format for object detection. Each file corresponds to an image and includes bounding box coordinates. segmentation_labels: Contains text files (.txt) in YOLO format for instance segmentation. Each file corresponds to an image and includes polygon coordinates for precise object masking. Label Formats All annotations follow the standard YOLO normalised format: Detection Segmentation ... All coordinates are normalised to the range [0, 1] relative to the image dimensions. Please note that the image data is split into 41 separate zip files (images_part_001 through images_part_041) due to upload size restrictions. A reconstruction script (unzip_dataset.py) is included with this dataset. This script automates the unzipping process to merge the split archives and organises the data into three clean subdirectories:images, detection_labels, and segmentation_labels. Ensure all zip parts are in one directory, then execute the script to restore the dataset.
