This narrative comprises two Naluokia told by Tomsen Namuan. Naluokia are traditional oral short stories illustrating a piece of traditional skill or knowledge as in the first naluaki or containing a moral as in the second one. They function like parables and are/were used in church as “teachings”. They are also found in Nguna (Esther Philip, pers. comm.).. Language as given: Lelepa
