Forest age, Recording 1771-2001, update 2021

The forest age map (1771 - 2001) combines the data from the following 4 maps:1. The Ferrari cards (drafted between 1771 and 1778)2. The maps of Vandermaelen (made between 1846 and 1854)3. The 3rd edition of topographic maps at 1:20,000 (the majority was drawn up between 1910 and 1940)4. The current afforestation according to the forest mapping, version 2001.On these 4 maps only the distinction was made between forest and non-forest. The forest age map is optimally used on a scale of 1/50,000. The map is suitable for landscape studies, ecosystem visions, etc., but less so for detailed studies (management plans, EIAs, ... ). It can give a first impression of forest history in such cases, but it is strongly recommended to look at as much historical map material as possible in order to overcome the limitations of the forest age map, namely the geographical inaccuracy and the limited number of sources.本森林年龄地图（1771年—2001年）整合了以下四类地图的数据： 1. 法拉利测绘图件（1771年至1778年间编制） 2. 范德马伦地图集（1846年至1854年制作） 3. 1:20000比例尺地形图第三版（大部分于1910年至1940年间测绘完成） 4. 2001版森林制图对应的现有造林地数据 上述四类地图仅对森林与非森林地物进行了区分。本森林年龄地图的最佳使用比例尺为1:50000。 该地图适用于景观研究、生态系统愿景规划等场景，但不适用于精细化研究（如经营方案编制、环境影响评价（EIAs）等）。在此类场景中，该地图可提供森林历史的初步概览，但为弥补本森林年龄地图的局限性——即地理精度不足、数据源数量有限——强烈建议尽可能查阅更多历史地图资料。
