SGA: Working Translation, Source-Repair, and Audit Drafts (SGA6 idx440 Source-Rescribe Checkpoint)

This is the reader-facing SGA working record for the Modern LaTeX Editions of Mathematics Manuscripts project. It retains the compact SGA5 and SGA6 reader-first surface and updates the front SGA6 French source-rescribe workpass to certification-ledger entry #437, scan idx440 / volume p427 / Exposé VII p12. The next unchecked page is idx441 / volume p428 / Exposé VII p13. Open first: the SGA5 French workpass PDF, 01_SGA6_French_SourceRescribe_Workpass_NotCertified_idx440_20260712.pdf, and the SGA6 English unsynchronized working-draft PDF. File 04_SGA6_TeX_SourceRescribe_Audit_NotCertified_idx440_20260712.zip contains editable French TeX, the full certification and errata ledgers, compile logs, source witnesses for the new pages, rendered output checks, checksums, and a status README. What changed: since the public #435 / idx438 checkpoint, two page-local source passes cover Exposé VII pp11-12. They restore a complete dropped sentence, omitted words and parentheticals, proof labels and references, capitalization, product dots, punctuation, and numerous formulas that the inherited scaffold had wrongly converted from inline text to displays. An unfinished local start on idx441 is excluded; material after idx440 remains inherited scaffold. Status: this is useful source-aware working material, not OCR-only, but it is not a critical edition, completed SGA6 release, whole-volume source-faithfulness certification, English synchronization, publication-grade proofreading, or diagram-by-diagram certification. SGA5 remains incomplete and contains known errors. SGA7 remains partial and caveat-heavy. The 387-page PDF has zero fatal errors, zero overfull boxes, and zero underfull boxes. A publication-only line break and zero-width guard prevent layout and text-rendering failures without changing mathematical content.
