Induction of transient and adaptive vs maladaptive unfolded protein responses of the endoplasmic reticulum in pancreatic beta cells

Whole RNA-sequencing of MIN6 cell samples from a drug-treatment time course to investigate how hypersecretion vs. ER calcium disruption influence stress and function adaptation. Overall design: Three independent experiments were peformed in MIN6 beta cells. Each experiment contained 13 samples: A 0h baseline and 1,2,6,24 h for DMSO (0.1%), SW016789 (5uM), and thapsigargin (100nM) as an ER stress control treatment. RNA was collected from all samples at the end of the time course.
