资源简介:
Turbulence exists at the sea ice-ocean interface and therefore may have a key role in the latter stages of sea ice formation, including the forming of frazil ice. Both deep and shallow CTD casts were taken on a daily basis with some periods of hourly casts (two 36 hour periods coinciding with both slack and full tides). The potential to examine a number of different sites, probably over different season, will allow the impact of far field effects to be examined (i.e. changes in tides, ice flexure dur to waves and oceanographic climate variation). The intergration of sea ice studies, oceanography results and turbulence studies should provide a good understanding of the ocean circulation system.
