Danish Leisure Study, 1993: Adults

The purpose of this survey is to obtain information for statistical and scientific assessment of spare time activities and cultural activities and to relate these activities to work, education and family. # The data material is obtained by means of interviews with selected persons aged 16 or more. # #The following information is included from the interviews: #Information concerning persons aged 16 or more: #- Background information on the respondent and his/her # spouse/cohabitant: sex, age, citizenship, school education, # vocational education, main occupation, private/public # employment, working hours, and household composition, including # age of the children. #- Theatre visits, including type of theatre (permanent, touring, # amateur) and type of performance (play, ballet, opera, musical, # revue, children's theatre). Amateur theatre activities. #- Music, concerts, including type of music. # Use of electronic media (CD, LP, LB). # Own music and song performance. #- Cinema visits. # Films on video and TV. # Possibly special questions on short films. #- Visual arts - visits to art museums and art exhibitions. # Amateur activities. #- Visits to other museums according to type. #- Other activities, including lectures, zoological parks and # bingo. #- Membership of clubs, associations and organizations and # activities in these. Positions of trust. # Grass-roots activities (unorganized). #- Reading habits as regards fiction, specialist literature, # comics, light reading, magazines on special topics, and local # papers. # Newspaper reading habits and preferred topics in the papers. #- Library habits. Frequency and purpose. The library as # information centre. #- TV habits and preferred programmes. Radio habits and # preferred programmes. #- Sports and exercise. Own activities - organized and # unorganized. # Spectator activities. #- Membership of the Danish National Church, church attendance, # other religious organizations. #- Spare time education, participation in evening school courses, # etc
