Population density for time comparisons (hab./km²)

Population density is the ratio between the population of a territory and its area. The ‘contemporary population density (area of variable entities)’ uses as denominator the size of the entity of the tax situation on 1 January of the corresponding year from the FPS Finance (genuine source). For years prior to 2018, the surface area of the administrative units shall be that resulting from the cadastral register for the corresponding year. ‘Population density for time comparisons (area of stable entities)’ uses the area of entities of the tax situation as at 1 January 2018 for the whole series (1992 to the most recent year).人口密度是指某一地域的人口总数与其面积的比值。「当期人口密度（可变实体面积口径，area of variable entities）」以对应年份1月1日的税务登记主体面积作为核算分母，数据源自FPS Finance（真实数据源）。对于2018年之前的年份，行政区域面积采用对应年度地籍登记簿所载的核算结果。 「时间可比人口密度（固定实体面积口径，area of stable entities）」的全序列统计范围（1992年至最新年份），统一以2018年1月1日的税务登记主体面积作为统一核算基准。
