资源简介:
We conducted nineteen acute toxicity assays to address knowledge gaps associated with nine critical elements: cerium (Ce), cobalt (Co), indium (In), lanthanum (La), lithium (Li), neodymium (Nd), osmium (Os), platinum (Pt), and praseodymium (Pr). Acute aquatic exposures of these elements were conducted with five organisms: an amphipod (Hyalella azteca), a mussel (Lampsilis siliquoidea), a snail (Lymnaea stagnalis), an insect (Neocloeon triangulifer), and a fish (Pimephales promelas). Data on the survival of organisms at the conclusion of each assay are reported. Water quality measurements including dissolved oxygen, specific conductance, pH, alkalinity, hardness, and ammonia were collected at the initiation and conclusion of each assay. Element concentrations in test waters were measured from test solutions collected at the beginning and conclusion of each assay. Lastly, the concentration of three exposure elements (Pt, Li, Os) in the whole-body tissue of Lymnaea stagnalis were measured.
