资源简介:
Previous works have observed that unlike the observed effect at high doses, exposure of cells to low-dose ionizing radiation promotes cell proliferation in different biological systems including the reproductive, immune, and hematopoietic system (Wolff S et al., 1984 ; Ina Y, et al, 2005; Liu G et al, 2006 ) and stimulates cellular metabolic activities including DNA, RNA and protein synthesis (Chen SL, et al, 2000) . And also it has been proposed that this effect is mediated by up-regulation of MEK/ERK signalling pathway, in rat meshenchymal cells (Liang et at, 2011). However, there are no evidences on how this low-dose affects tissue homeostasis along the time and whether the exposure to protracted low-doses has any effect in cancer development. Here we are using an in- vitro model of keratinocyte differentiation to elucidate the molecular mechanisme that controls the behaviour of oeaophageal basal proliferating cells after exposure to a sigle dose of ionizing radiation (above 50 mGy). Samples were collected at two different time points (1 hour and 24 hours after exposure).
