GVA growth rate in volume
gross value added (GVA) is the difference between output and intermediate consumption. It covers the whole economy (district, province or region). It is measured at basic prices, i.e. it does not include taxes less subsidies on products (e.g. VAT and excise duties). Its evolution is measured in volume terms, i.e. the effect of price changes is deducted. The indicator represents the annual change in%, i.e. the difference between the GVA of the year under review (calendar year 1/1 to 31/12) and the GVA of the previous year, compared to the previous year, multiplied by 100.
