This series comprises a volume with folios ruled into columns. The columns have the following (printed) headings: Application, Plans, etc. Fees Paid (sub-column headings: No., Date Received, Receipt No., Amount); Applicant; O B or A; Estimated Value (sub-column headings: Buildings, Additions); Description of Building; Street or Road; Assessment No.; Section; Lot; Size of Lot; Date Submitted to Council; Decision of Council; No. of Permit Issued; Date of Plans and Returned; Signature of Persons To Whom Plans Were Returned; Date Building Completed. The numbers entered in both the No. sub-column and the No. of Permit Issued column have been allocated on an annual basis with a new sequence commencing at about the start of a new year. The O B A column letters stand for Owner, Builder or Architect, as in those persons entitled to make building applications. Those numbers entered in the Assessment No. column refer to the Assessment Numbers used to identify the valuation of properties by the Valuer General, and subsequent issue of Rate Notices.The Entries in the Section, Lot and Size of Lot relate to information on the Certificate of Title. Arrangement of entries in the volume is chronological, with each entry being allocated an annual single number (as noted in the No. sub-column).
