Smoke Control

<div style='text-align:Left;'><div><div><p><span>Under the Clean Air Act local authorities may declare the whole or part of the district of the authority to be a smoke control area. It is an offence to emit smoke from a chimney of a building, from a furnace or from any fixed boiler if located in a designated smoke control area. It is also an offence to acquire an "unauthorised fuel" for use within a smoke control area unless it is used in an "exempt" appliance ("exempted" from the controls which generally apply in the smoke control area).</span></p></div></div></div>根据《清洁空气法案（Clean Air Act）》，地方当局可将其辖区的全部或部分区域划定为烟雾控制区。在指定的烟雾控制区内，从建筑物烟囱、熔炉或任意固定锅炉排放烟雾的行为均属违法。此外，在烟雾控制区内使用“未经授权燃料（unauthorised fuel）”同样构成违法，除非该燃料是在“豁免器具（exempt appliance）”中使用，此类器具可豁免烟雾控制区内通用的管控措施。
