This data is an input to the Forestry Commissions Headline Performance Indicator: 'Hectares of woodland created (gross)'.
<br /><br />This Indicator forms part of the Forestry Commissions Corporate Plan Performance Indicators and Woodland Indicators.
<br /><br />The data shows all woodland creation under the English Woodland Grant Scheme (EWGS) from the launch of the scheme in 2006 up until the 31st of March 2011. <br /><br />The data forms the baseline report for the Forestry Commissions Headline Performance Indicator: 'Hectares of woodland created (gross)'.
<br /><br />Woodland is deemed to be created once the first payment has been made to the applicant for grant aid.
