资源简介:
Several authors reported the presence of T-DNA sequences (named cT-DNA) from Agrobacterium in the genome of wild-type plants from ca. 30 different species. In these species, intact opine biosynthesis genes were detected and/or expressed. This observation suggested that these genes should be beneficial to plants, or at least neutral in terms of genetic burden and metabolic cost. Using transgenic lines of Arabidopsis that produced opines and their parental Col0 line, we investigated the cost of opine production in the transgenic lines via a combined transcriptomic, proteomic and metabolomics approach. We compared the root-associated microbiome of these three lines.
