In this study we investigated the transcriptional responses of keratinocyte-derived IκBζ (encoded by NFKBIZ) upon infection with the pathogenic Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) USA300 wildtype strain. Primary human keratinocytes were obtained from foreskin. Ctrl and lentiviral NFKBIZ knockdown cells were either treated with S. aureus or murmamyl-dipeptide (MDP) in vitro. Gene expression profile analysis was conducted using data obtained from n=3 RNA samples of each cell line and treatment condition.
