This data shows the World Heritage sites as of 2012. The data is quite simple, containing just the name of the site and its positional information. The data was sources from GeoCommons. The data was downloaded as a csv file and converted to shapefile as i found an issue with the shapefile. http://geocommons.com/search?query=world+heritage, the data Users should acknowledge GeoCommons as the source (geocommons.com/overlays/90565.iso). GIS vector data. This dataset was first accessioned in the EDINA ShareGeo Open repository on 2012-12-10 and migrated to Edinburgh DataShare on 2017-02-21.
