This proposal is to request XMM-Newton snapshot observations for 16 radiosources. These targets belong to a selected sample of the brightest radiogalaxies observed at radio frequencies between 408MHz and 5GHz of the SouthernHemisphere. It is not possible to distinguish the optical counterpart for alltargets due to the poor angular resolution of archival radio maps available.Selection criteria guarantee that all of them are radio-loud active galacticnuclei and thus XMM-Newton observations will allow us to reveal the position ofX-ray counterparts for their radio cores and will permit us to obtain a preciselocalization of their host galaxies in the optical band.
