Papers published in 1998 and their citations until 2007.For each institution the merit index is obtained taking as the total set of papers published in the World in Economics in 1998 (7542 papers) and their citations received until 2007. For the -index the value is computed analytically and for the mean citation each is approximated using the simulation approach described in the paper with 100,000 random subsets. The corresponding 95% binomial confidence intervals appear in brackets. The figures have been rounded up to three decimal places.
