资源简介:
This study aimed to explore the relationship between health literacy measures and health behaviors, as well as cumulative glucose levels, in patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Conducted as a mixed-methods study, the research aimed to examine the effects of repeatedly measuring individuals' knowledge about health, their health behaviors, and their ability to successfully manage their T2DM.Evaluating the impact of health literacy on health-related outcomes is of particular importance for individuals with T2DM, as this chronic condition necessitates continuous self-care and informed decision-making. By investigating how health literacy measures affect health behaviors and cumulative glucose levels, this study aimed to shed light on the potential role of health literacy in improving T2DM management and overall health outcomes. By utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the researchers could combine quantitative measurements with qualitative insights, allowing for a comprehensive examination of the complex relationship between health literacy, health behaviors, and T2DM management. These findings have the potential to inform healthcare professionals and policymakers regarding the importance of addressing health literacy in diabetes care and designing effective interventions to promote health knowledge and behavior change in patients with T2DM.
