TOGARY: A automated toll for data collection

TOGARY is a tool for automated data collection. The program extracts information on corruption judicial sentences from the Brazilian National Council of Justice (CNJ) website, stores it in a structured dataset and then exports it as a spreadsheet format. Our motivation to create this software was the website's lack of systematic disclosure since data is only available for case by case research. The latest TOGARY update has detailed information on 17.505 corruption cases judged by subnational, national, electoral and superior courts between 1992 and 2014. With this paper, we hope to diffuse the application of automated data collection procedures in Social Sciences.TOGARY是一款自动化数据采集工具。该程序从巴西国家司法委员会（Brazilian National Council of Justice, CNJ）官方网站提取腐败案件的司法判决相关信息，将其存储为结构化数据集，并导出为电子表格格式。我们开发该软件的初衷，是由于该网站未对数据进行系统化公开，仅支持逐案查询相关信息。TOGARY的最新版本收录了1992年至2014年间，由地方、国家、选举及高级法院审理的共计17505起腐败案件的详细信息。通过本文，我们期望推动自动化数据采集流程在社会科学领域的推广应用。
