Chlorophyll in the ocean mainly refers to chlorophyll a, which is the photosynthetic pigment in marine phytoplankton and holds great significance for marine ecosystems and the global carbon cycle. The content and distribution of chlorophyll a are important indicators for assessing phytoplankton abundance. Analysis of chlorophyll profiles in the Prydz Bay region can help understand the aquatic primary productivity and the eutrophication level of water quality. This dataset is the chlorophyll profile analysis data of seawater from Prydz Bay collected during the 9th Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition. The measured layer depths range from 0 to 200 meters, and the dataset includes information on station, longitude, latitude, measured layer depth, and chlorophyll a concentration.
