This is a video showing numerical solutions of the 2D rising bubble experiment using the 2D nonhydrostatic model with 6 different terrain-following coordinates - BTF and HTF1 - HTF4 in the order of columns. The model is described by Appendix A, and the coordinates are defined by Equation (1), both in Yang et al. (2023). The 3 rows are potential temperature, and horizontal and vertical velocities respectively. The model integrates 1000 s ahead of the initial time. The domain shown here spans from -6 km to 6 km horizontally and from 0 km to 12 km vertically.
