Transcriptional analysis of the effect of monoamine oxidase B (MAOB) in human prostate stromal cells (PrSC)

The overall goal of this study was to compare gene expression profiles in MOAB-overexpressing PrSC cells and control cells, also to compare gene expression profiles in MAOB-knockdown and control cells. Overall design: To generate MAOB-overexpressing PrSC cell lines was used a MAOB-expressing lentiviral construct followed by puromycin selection. Stable knock down MAOB PrSC was established using shRNA-expressing lentiviral infection followed by antibiotic selection. Five samples were analyzed by RNA-Seq.
