Fusarium odoratissimum strain:CNSD1 Genome sequencing

The fungus Fusarium oxysporium f. sp cubense (Foc) is the causal agent of the Fusarium wilt of banana which induces a lethal wilt of the vascular tissues and plant death. Based on the pathogenicity to specific banana cultivars, Foc is classified into four races. Out of all races, Foc tropical Race 4 (Foc TR4) is the most potent strain. We present high-quality genome sequences of Foc strain CNSD1 to find genetic variation and select the secreted small effector proteins that interfere with the defense responses of the host plant.
