Areas under seed-growing fields

The data set shall cover data on species and varieties propagated in Latvia which, in accordance with international requirements, must undergo official inspections of seed growing fields. During the inspection of seed growing fields, the State Plant Protection Service, upon request of the seed grower, shall verify the conformity of the variety sowings for the acquisition of seeds in accordance with the provisions for seed growing and seed marketing.
Seed certification shall mean the identification of varieties, the examination of the growing conditions and the characteristics of the seed quality, which shall include field inspection, seed quality assessment and post-control, and shall be validated by an appropriate document.

本数据集应涵盖拉脱维亚境内繁育的物种与品种相关数据，此类物种及品种需按照国际要求接受种子繁育田的官方检验。在种子繁育田检验过程中，国家植物保护服务机构应种子生产者的申请，依据种子繁育与种子营销的相关规定，核验用于种子采收的品种播种田的符合性。
种子认证系指对品种进行识别、对繁育条件及种子质量特性开展核查，其工作范畴涵盖田间检验、种子质量评估及事后管控，并需通过合规文件予以生效确认。
