资源简介:

Compiled dataset accompanying the manuscript "Liquefied Gas, Liquidated Debt: The 2026 Strait of Hormuz Shock and the Political Economy of Inflationary Debt Erosion" (Restrepo Morales, Giraldo Betancur, Rodríguez Flores & Suárez Pizzarello), submitted to Economies (MDPI) in August 2026. The deposit contains two CSV files and the article's graphical abstract: (1) table1_market_indicators_2026.csv — key market indicators of the 2026 Strait of Hormuz crisis: Brent crude (pre-war level and 31 March 2026 peak of $118.35/bbl), the Dutch Title Transfer Facility (TTF) gas benchmark, the Japan Korea Marker (JKM) Asian LNG spot price, war-risk insurance premiums, VLCC freight rates, US anhydrous ammonia prices, global LNG supply growth, and the strait's share of world oil and LNG transit. Each row documents its public source. (2) table2_debt_liquidation_arithmetic.csv — general government debt ratios and stocks for the United States, the euro area and Japan (IMF Fiscal Monitor, April 2026; IIF Global Debt Monitor, February 2026), together with the first-approximation computation of the real erosion of public debt per percentage point of unanticipated inflation reported in the article, and the 1946 US historical benchmark (Aizenman & Marion, 2011). No original experimental data were generated: the dataset is an author-compiled, source-documented collection of publicly available figures intended to make the article's computations reproducible. Values marked "~" are approximations pending final 2026 statistical releases. License: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).
