Part-time - Number of employees and characteristics (annual)

### Data

The data refer to employees whose working time is considered part-time, i.e. employees whose working hours are less than:

* the statutory working time or, where this is shorter than the statutory working time, the working time agreed for the branch or undertaking or the working time applicable in the establishment;
* the monthly duration resulting from the application, over that period, of the statutory working time or, if it is shorter, of the working time fixed by agreement for the branch or undertaking or of the working time applicable in the establishment;
* the annual working time resulting from the application over that period of the statutory working time, i.e. 1 607 hours, or, if it is less, the working time fixed by agreement for the branch or undertaking or the working time applicable in the establishment.

### Definitions

The **proportion of part-time employees** is calculated by relating the number of employees in part-time employment to the total number of employees.

The **part-time rate** refers to the part-time ratio declared by the employee at the time of the survey.

### Field

The data refer to all persons aged 15 or over in paid employment, excluding apprenticeship contracts, in metropolitan France exclusively until 2013, in France or metropolitan France as of 2014.

In addition,

* the geographical grouping ‘**** Metropolitan France’ includes all the French territories on the European continent (96 departments);
* The geographical grouping ‘France’ includes metropolitan France and the overseas departments/regions (DROM), with the exception of Mayotte.

### Source

The data used are taken from the INSEE Employment Survey, which is annual until 2002 and continuous since 2003. In this survey, the part-time/full-time classification is based on the statements of the employees interviewed in relation to the nature of their main job.

### Warnings

In 2021, the Employment Survey was [substantially recast] (https://www.insee.fr/en/statistics/5402123). The reconstruction of the series compiled from the Employment Survey is the subject of considerable methodological work at both INSEE and Dares. The series produced from the survey are not comparable to the previously published versions and are likely to be revised at a later stage, when there will be more setbacks on the different holdings of the long-term survey.

### 定义
**兼职雇员占比**：指兼职就业雇员人数与雇员总人数的比值。
**兼职率**：指劳动者在调研时申报的兼职比例。

### 字段说明
本数据集涵盖2013年及之前仅法国本土（Metropolitan France）范围内、15岁及以上从事有偿就业且未签订学徒合同的人员；2014年起涵盖法国全境或仅法国本土。
补充说明：
* 地理分组「法国本土（Metropolitan France）」包含欧洲大陆上的全部法国领土（共96个省）；
* 地理分组「法国」包含法国本土与海外省/海外大区（DROM），但不包括马约特岛（Mayotte）。

### 数据来源
本数据集的数据取自法国国家统计与经济研究所（INSEE）就业调查：2002年及之前该调查为年度调研，2003年起转为连续跟踪调研。该调研中，兼职/全职的分类依据受访雇员对其主要工作性质的自述。

### 注意事项
2021年，就业调查完成大幅改版（详见链接：https://www.insee.fr/en/statistics/5402123）。法国国家统计与经济研究所（INSEE）与劳动研究与统计司（Dares）均针对该调查序列的重构开展了大量方法学研究。本次调研生成的序列与此前发布的版本不具有可比性，且后续可能因长期调研的不同抽样框出现更多调整而进一步修订。
