Scottish fisheries landings 1890-2020

Scottish pelagic, demersal and shellfish landings by different gear types. Data were retrieved from archived annual Scottish Sea Fisheries Statistics reports, available from ProQuest UK Parliamentary Papers (years 1890-1921) (https://parlipapers.proquest.com/parlipapers/search/basic/hcppbasicsearch) and the Scottish Government website (1922-2020) (https://www.gov.scot/publications/sea-fisheries-statistics-1922-2010/). All landing weights were standardised to metric tonnes.
This excel data file includes: Pelagic (species) landings and landings by method of catch, Demersal (species) landings and landings by method of catch, Shellfish (species) landings and landings by method of catch, and the percentage of pelagic and demersal landings by sail, steam and motor power.
