মুখোশের আড়ালে

কোনো এক ছায়া নামে বিষাদের ধূসর রাতে,
বন্ধুত্বের আভরণে বাঁধা কত মুখোশধারী;
তাদের মুখে গোপন এক স্বপ্নের ছলনা,
আত্মীয়তার বন্ধনে মোড়া, কিন্তু হৃদয়ে ভাঙা রক্তিম দল।

সেই ছায়ারা আসে, আমাদের সান্নিধ্যে বুনে যায়
সম্পর্কের এক জটিল জাল, যেন ভেসে চলে
সময়-স্রোতের দোলায়, কখনো থাকে, কখনো হারায়
অদূর অতলান্তে।

আমি আশায় থাকি—একদিন দেখবো তাদের মুখোশ খুলে,
ধূলিমাখা মাটির কাছে নত হতে, ভ্রান্তির মহিমায় ম্লান;
তাদের চূড়ান্ত পরিণতি যেন সময়ের স্রোতে ভেসে যায়,
অভিনয়ের অন্তিম ছায়ায় প্রশান্ত আমি।

তবু, এই কামনা যেন এক নিস্ফল আক্ষেপ—
চেয়ারে বসে নিজের চেয়ারকে নিজ হাতে তোলার প্রয়াস,
মৃত্যুর পরিহাসে জড়িয়ে থাকে জীবনের অন্তিম খেলা,
বন্ধুত্ব আর প্রতারণার ছলনা, আমাদের একাকী বাস্তবতার পরিণতি।

In the grey night of sadness called some shadow,
How many masked people are tied under the cloak of friendship?
A secret dream lies in their mouths,
A bloodband wrapped in kinship ties but broken in heart.

Those shadows come, weave near us.
A complex web of relationships, as if floating
In the wave of timestream, sometimes it stays, sometimes it loses
In the distant abyss.

I hope to see them unmasked one day.
To bow to the dusty ground, Dim in the glories of error;
May their ultimate fate be swept away by the stream of time,
Prashant I am in the final shade of acting.

Yet, this desire is like a futile regret—
Sitting on a chair and trying to lift one's own chair with one's own hands,
The final game of life is involved in the mockery of death.
The pretence of friendship and deception, the consequences of our lonely reality.
