Featural representation and internal noise around the visual field

This repository contains the processed behavioral and model-derived data required to reproduce the figures in the manuscript, Featural Representation and Internal Noise Around the Visual Field. The repository contains two primary datasets: Empirical behavioral and model-derived data (n12_n1000): behavioral performance measures, psychophysical reverse-correlation estimates, fitted orientation and spatial-frequency tuning parameters, noisy-observer model predictions and parameter estimates, and HVA and VMA asymmetry indices. These data include results from 12 observers and summaries obtained across 1,000 Monte Carlo cross-validation iterations where applicable. This dataset is used to generate the figures in the main text, Figures 1–9. Simulation and recovery-validation data (R_A1_Sim): simulation-based results used to evaluate recovery of perceptual templates, behavioral predictions, internal-noise parameters, and generating-model identity. This dataset is used to generate the supplementary figures in the appendices, Figures S1–S6. The data are organized to correspond to the main and supplementary figures in the manuscript. Raw eye-tracking recordings and unprocessed trial-level stimulus files are not included.
