This database provides a comprehensive collection of data related to the bending behavior of thin-walled channel sections with modified cross-sectional shapes, particularly focusing on the influence of web perforations. The dataset includes information from experiments conducted on six beams, with three beams featuring perforated webs and three with flat, solid webs. The beams were tested under four-point bending conditions to evaluate their load-bearing capacity, strength, and stability.The database contains the following key components:Experimental Results: data from electronic and optical measurements captured during the four-point bending tests, including load-displacement curves, critical forces, and maximum forces leading to total loss of load-bearing capacity. The results cover both perforated and solid-web beams, allowing for comparisons between the two.Numerical Analyses: results from the Finite Strip Method (FSM) and Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations. These analyses provide detailed insights into the stress-strain behavior of the beams, buckling modes, and the impact of web perforations on overall performance.Analytical Calculations: the database includes calculations based on Eurocode 3 guidelines and the principle of minimizing potential energy.
