NRS-148 | Stock Medicines Board minutes

This series consists of minutes from the New South Wales Stock Medicines Board dating from January 1941 to November 1991.Information recorded in the minutes includes the date and place of the meeting, the names of those present and the business on hand. The board was responsible for reviewing stock medicines and recommending whether or not a particular medicine should be registered. The names and addresses of wholesale dealers applying to register a particular products are recorded in the minutes. The board also considered claims that particular products were mislabelled or were making claims that were unfounded.The minutes are arranged in chronological order. The majority of the minutes have been bound into volumes; however the later minutes, dating from the early 1980s, have not been bound and are bundled together and fixed with metal fasteners.
