VPRS 4896 Carrier's, Stage Carriage and Tobacco License Receipt Book Butts

This series consists of receipt books, with only the completed butts remaining. which document the payment of fees for carrier's licenses (1875 - 1886), stage carriage licenses (1871 - 1900) and tobacco licenses (1881 - 1887) issued by the Licensing Court. The licenses were completed by the Court and given to the intended recipient. The license butts record the name of the individual to whom the license was issued, the period of license applicability and the amount paid.本系列藏品为收据簿，仅留存填写完成的存根联。此类存根完整记录了许可法庭核发的三类许可证的缴费明细：1875年至1886年的承运人许可证、1871年至1900年的公共马车运营许可证，以及1881年至1887年的烟草许可证。许可证由许可法庭填写完毕后交付给申领人。该类许可证存根会记载许可证持有人姓名、许可有效期限以及已缴费用金额。
