We examined molecular genetic differences between the dorsal and ventral dentate gyrus of the hippocampus in mouse, using RNA-seq to assess differences in gene expression, as well as MethylC-seq and TAB-seq to assess differences in DNA methylation and hydroxymethylation, respectively. In addition, we examined how an enriched environment can engender changes in gene expression and methylation.
