Data for The Moon before mare

This archive contains spherical harmonic and gridded data files for <em>The Moon before mare Broquet A. & Andrews-Hanna, J. C., submitted to Icarus (2023).</em> All spherical harmonic solutions are for the nominal model presented in the study. The models are defined up to degree 500, and use the SHTOOLs format convention. Note that because of spherical harmonic transforms, non-zero mare thicknesses outside of mare regions can be found. The gridded files have shapes of (1003, 2005). Crust_nomare.sh: Nominal thickness of the feldspathic (or pre-mare) crust [km]. Crust.sh: Nominal thickness of the bulk crust (feldspathic + mare) [km]. Mare_clip.sh: Nominal thickness of the maria clipped to known mare and cryptomare regions [km]. Mare_Du_clip.sh: Nominal thickness of the maria clipped to known mare and cryptomare regions including the constraints from Du et al. (2019) [km]. Topo_nomare.sh: Nominal pre-mare elevations [km]. Grid_crust_nomare.txt: Gridded nominal feldspathic (pre-mare) crustal thickness [km]. Grid_crust.txt: Gridded nominal bulk (feldspathic + mare) crustal thickness [km]. Grid_mare_Du_Te20.txt: Gridded mare thickness assuming an elastic thickness of 20 km including the constraints from Du et al. (2019) [km]. Grid_mare_Du_Te40.txt: Gridded mare thickness assuming an elastic thickness of 40 km including the constraints from Du et al. (2019) [km]. Grid_mare_Du_Te60.txt: Gridded mare thickness assuming an elastic thickness of 60 km including the constraints from Du et al. (2019) [km]. Grid_topo_nomare.txt: Gridded nominal pre-mare elevations [km].
